Failed Content Review when launching Memory Calculation - Impossible to appeal

Summary

I was doing an update of my map and trying to make Changing Booth working. Based on info about possible fix in other thread on this forum I removed Ocean and inserted new one directly from UEFN library. Then I regenerated HLOD and launched a process to Calculate Memory. While it was uploading a warning appeared about breaking the rule “1.14 Stay within Spec Requirements”, that frame rates should stay above 30 FPS. With a reason “Text within your UEFN project”.

I have no idea what happened, because I was not adding some new type of text (earlier I just updated few lines in Billboard and Conversation Devices that I have there for a long time) or anything that could have negative effect on frame rates. There is ID of asset that caused this, but I don’t know how to find it. So far I have no results from searching.

Now I have a warning in the Editor all the time when I open my project.

So I went to “My Sanctions and Appeals”, wrote an Appeal and clicked on a button to send it. But this time it doesn’t work. Every time I do that I just get an error message “Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again later”. I did like 40 attempts so far within last 2 hours and shorten my message to 795 characters (maximum is 1000). I even tried it in Chrome and Edge (with no active Adblock) after I logged out and then logged in again, but it is still the same.

That version which caused this was uploaded, but it is not possible to Playtest it, because when I try to switch to that version in Creator’s Portal, I see only a message “Playtesting Disabled” with a violation of the rules that I described above.

So what should I do now? This is my biggest and most important project, so I don’t want to risk any further sanction escalation. I don’t even know why is this happening and what asset in my project could be causing this while I am not able to appeal to the sanction that was already applied.

Did you by any chance generate localization? and then Manually edited them?

I generated auto localization because I updated text about the biggest changes in the last update. But I did not manually edited it, I never did that in any of my maps and at this moment I don’t even know how exactly to do that, because I know from earlier discussions that manually editing of it is causing problems, so I never cared about it so far.

My all and only edits of text were done in standard UEFN Devices and in Verse code where I have some text to display via HUD Message Devices, Feed Message Devices (this is only about their activation, because it is still not possible to set text for these devices in Verse) and Billboard Devices, but nothing out of ordinary in any way or anything different that I would not do many times before.

I can even be very specific regarding my last change of text between the version that was uploaded without any issues for the last time and the one that triggered this Failed Content Review. Because the only difference was adding these 2 words to one Conversation Device, that were not present in auto localization when I did it for the last time before: “Fishing Zone” (because I just added Fishing Zone to my map in this newest version, that I am working on right now).

Could be that these 2 words could be somehow problematic for that automatic translation in some language? I don’t know. But if so, why it would be triggering breaking the rule about performance and staying above 30 FPS? I think that some wrong automatic translation would trigger breaking some other rule.

Option to appeal is still not working even 7 hours later and because I need to do an update and to do something with that map so that constant “Moderation” warning in the editor would go away, I deleted newly added Changing Booth (which did not even worked in that map), I deleted newly added Fish Zone and mention about it in the text in Conversation Device, I deleted all HLODs (with an intention to make new working Private version and generate them again after that) and now I am trying Build Auto Localization because of changes in the text, but it failed the process 4 times in a row already because of “Connection to the server failed.”

First I get a sanction in the middle of my working process because of failed content review even though I was only trying to create new Private version of the map and to do Memory Calculation to know actual memory usage. Then I am not able to appeal to this sanction because of who knows what while I have no exact information about what caused the issue, because by that ID I am not able to find anything (and maybe there is nothing to be found, because in the end of ID for UEFN asset that was rejected is “PROJECT” which could mean that problematic is whole map and not something specific in it, I have no idea) and then I am not even able to recreate stuff in the map to make new version which would be without issues.

What is this? :frowning:

I want you to try something for me, if possible, Firstly CHECK-IN CHANGES before doing anything so you can revert back in case something breaks.
Then try deleting the “Localization” folder from your project, close and re-open UEFN and see if it lets you launch it

I closed and launched UEFN again, but still I can not delete “Localization” folder from my project, because every time I try that I get this error message: “Portable Object files are managed by the localization pipeline”

Right Click and press this, then delete it from windows

I did that, relaunched UEFN and the folder was correctly gone from my project in that moment. So I did “Build/Export Localization” which was successful (but it was before too) and then I did “Build/Build Auto Localization” and it failed again because of “Connection to the server failed.”

Just Delete it AND DON’T generate/build localization and see if that removes the block on your project

I deleted folder “Localization” from my project again, relaunched UEFN, opened my project and that folder was correctly gone, while that warning of “Moderation” was still visible in the editor.

So I launched a Session and then clicked on a function to do a Memory Calculation. In the moment when new Private version was created that warning of “Moderation” in the editor finally disappeared and process of Memory Calculation started. So now it is looking OK, but it is without Auto Localization, HLODs, Changing Booth, Fishing Zone and mention about Fishing Zone in the Conversation Device.

So now I should try to launch “Build/Export Localization” and then “Build/Build Auto Localization” again, correct?

Process “Build Auto Localization” is still failing. But maybe it is just a problem on the server side, so I will try it again tomorrow.

Thanks for your assistance. It helps a lot if there is someone to talk to when there are issues like this
