Fade camera not using matinee

As these people were discussing :

How can you use blueprint to fade the current player camera ?
i have a reference to the current camera actor + camera component

but there doesnt appear to be anyway of fading the camera, through colour or anything

i began looking at post processing, but that just appears to be a huge mess in blueprint, when i clicked “break out” scene post proc component it opened a massive list that is a genuine struggle to zoom and scroll down
