I pulled an old thread where some users had this issue and provided a few possible solutions that worked for them. I’ll put the link below. If you can’t resolve it from there, post back and we’ll look into other alternatives.
I realise this is old, but I had the same problem and it was due to a model that I imported. The model had a material that was referencing textures called “.png” (the name was blank).
The way I stopped the crashing, was to change the map that was first loaded in the Default Engine settings (edited DefaultEngine.ini). If the default map loaded contained this model it would crash. Once I set a different level UE would at least run. Once in I was able to fix the textures by re-naming them in the file explorer, re-importing and updating the associated materials.
