Exporting undistorted masks without model creation should be possible

Unfortunately, it seems we cannot export undistorted masks without generating the full model. From my point of view, this doesn’t make much sense, since we are able to export the images even after creating only the sparse point cloud.

I can understand this limitation for depth maps, but for masks it feels unnecessary. Obviously, the masks can be exported, just not in their undistorted form.

Steps to Reproduce

Hello Visotr, and sorry for the delay. I see that this conversation was already started in EDC. Jakub gave part of the answer.

In general, models are needed for mask creation, as they serve as the basis for the masks.

It is not necessary to create a full model; the Preview is enough in many cases.

Additionally, the latest release includes an AI mask generator, eliminating the need for the model in that case.

Did you have repro steps to give? I just have the steps to reproduce, as mentioned in your last comment.

Please let me know if that helps or if you need anything else.

Kind regards

MC

I have pre-generated masks stored in the same directory as the input images, and I’m using RealityScan solely to produce the sparse point cloud.

However, while I can export the undistorted images, I’m unable to export the corresponding undistorted masks without building the complete model.

OK, I see. Would you mind sharing your file here so that we can reproduce the issue and either log a bug or provide a solution?

If you can please share here : Box

Thank you
