Export meshes from Reality Capture 1.4

Why Reality capture 1.4 export meshes but when i opened it with Maya or Blender, nothing happened. When i opened with UE5, it said: “Polygons are degenerate”. The exported 3D file is basically empty. How can i fix that??

Hi @PhmHoangBinh,
this is really strange and it seems like the exported model is somehow corrupted.
What were your reconstruction settings? Is your model georeferenced? How does the model look inside RealityCapture? What were your export settings? Are you able to import the model back into RealityCapture? Is this happening for you in various projects? Have you modified the model somehow before export/import?

The model inside RC look very nice. My export setting is FBX202000. Transformation preset; 3ds Max, Maya + Arnold, Unity, Unreal.
I tried and can’t able to import model back into RC. This happening on my PC and also my laptop. I used the simplify tool but even without using anything modified, I still can’t export any models. It always empty file. @OndrejTrhan

Is your model georeferenced?
Are you running RealityCapture through Epic Games Launcher?
Can you paste here all your export settings?

My model is not georeferenced. i’m running RC through Epic Games Launcher. I tried to change Transformation Preset but the result still the same. This is my export setting:

The settings seems to be normal.
Can you also show me the 1Ds view?
Can you go to C:\Program Files\Epic Games\CapturingReality and copy the install file to some other location. Then uninstall RealityCapture through Epic Games Launcher, install it using the mentioned installation file, provide the application reset (Reset RealityCapture) and then open your project in that version and export your model again?

I have the same situation. When I import from Blender, the Vertex exists, but there are no Edges or Faces, the Location or Scale is abnormal, and the Mesh is not visible.

Hi @Moon8erson
Can you add more information? Like used settings and some print screen of your issue?
Just to be clear, are you importing mesh from Blender to RealityCapture?

Hi, I am experiencing a similar issue. I managed to solve this issue by exporting a small part of the model. The results are satisfactory. However, when I try to export a slightly bigger portion, the same problem as described above happens. The file property still shows that the file exist and has a size.

Hi @nemoechololo, can you try to export the model using the default transformation preset settings? Is it the same?
