During development for my UEFN game, I found out that players can phase through floors after exiting an Inflate-A-Bull. I’ve found that it can happen on player-built structures and floors and grid planes taken from creative’s asset library.
Steps to Reproduce
Jump inside an Inflate-A-Bull
Either increase weight to stay on the floor and exit or exit mid-air close enough to the floor. The player will not phase through the floor if they are too far high from the floor.
Expected Result
Player should stay on top of the floor after exiting Inflate-A-Bull.
Observed Result
Player either phases through floor completely or gets stuck and can not jump out until they self-respawn or get eliminated by another player.
I’ve experienced this as well. For me, it was a consistent (as opposed to random) issue; it happened every time a player would exit an Inflate-A-Bull. Please fix.
(Inflate-A-Bull deserves its place in Creative/UEFN gameplay!)
Hello! this is still a bug, and players also phase through terrain. It happens when exiting from the inflatable state near the floor/ground. I believe it’s something with the “exit” animation itself.
Yep this is a rly annoying bug and sadly multiple years old one, please epic fix this item in creative, also guys +1 vote the post so epic employees can see it
It happens on my maps also. For phasing through the ground I added a mutator zone under the ground that is linked to a teleporter to get the player back in the playable area. Definitely not the workaround for all situations. The player can phase through practically everything. Sometimes the player gets stuck in the surface and becomes an easy target. Needs to be addressed. Still happens in v. 29.20 which is the most current version at the time of this comment. I haven’t published the updated map but it works in UEFN. Gravity is set to low also.
The only workaround i found is to set the gravity to low in the island settings, that will make this bug disappear, but ofc this is not useful for 98% of the maps. So this still need fixing but im pretty sure epic will not fix a multiple years old item.
