EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION

I have a

  • Fresh install
  • Updated GPU driver to the latest studio version
  • The latest version of UE
  • A blank C++ project.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled both the engine and drivers, adjusted GPU settings, and it crashes on open within 3 seconds every time regardless and without fail–what could possibly be going on? I’ve run UE before with no problem, but now…I am just stumped. Help!

I think it’s the DirectX driver…
Because I see this (D3D12, dxgi, D3D12Core)
Does your card support DirectX12?
Try directX11… you can configure it in project settings.
If it doesn’t work maybe you can use the old driver.
It’s just an idea!!

It does and you are right, even though I am on dx-12, I had to roll it back to dx-11 and create a .bat to launch in the same. It is solved. Thank you =D
