hi @Hexagon37 ,
We all got this you need to verify your installation
how to verify UEFN/fortnite

On Windows 11 this needs to right-click Epic Games Launcher “Run as Administrator”
Then restart your PC

Hello,

Unfortunately, as stated previously, these steps have not resolved the issue and they have been attempted several times. To be sure, I tried your recommendations once more and it did not fix the crash this time either. it seems my issue is different to the one everyone else experienced, yet is still caused by the update

check your directory and delete content of
C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\saved"."
C:\Users%username%\AppData\Local\UnrealEditorFortnite\Intermediate*."
these are temporary files.
try launching again
if not its an account problem
try launching Fortnite itself

Unfortunately these steps did not work either. Fortnite itself launches and runs fine, UEFN wont

hi @Hexagon37 ,
The only thing left is to check and repair the disk structure
Right-Click Windows Command Shell Select Run as Administrator

c:\> ChkDsk /f/r C:
Message asks if check disk on next restart type Y
Restart PC

The disk check will start in about 20 minutes and will probably pass error-free, then restart Windows.

Finally, there was a problem with certain graphics cards after an update and this thread solved the problem

Solved - How to fix Fatal Errors in UEFN related to Graphic Cards and Shaders and Derived Data problems

That nothing else can think of will fix this.

Unfortunately these steps didnt work either. I’m at a loss. I wish epic would stop breaking everything every update. It sounds like the actual editor is having even more issues once you manage to get into it as well. Thanks for the help to this point though!
