Every time I pick up something my character starts moving weirdly

Hello! I am new to unreal engine and thought I would make a game in vr because I love vr. I made the vr template, altered it to allow smooth locomotion, but whenever I pick up a cube my character will start moving really fast and really unpredictably. Can someone help me? I’ve provided my movement blueprint, collision detection capsule, and video of what I’m talking about. Thanks! (I have links because I couldn’t upload all of the files)
Edit: It also happens when I use the grab button on my right controller.

Looks like your character is colliding with the objects you’re holding so the physics are acting erratically from intersecting constantly.

You could make your character capsule only collide with static geometry to confirm if this is indeed the problem and fix it.
