Ah well, no. I dont feel like being a priest today
I also didnt butt in to offer salvation, I just thought I would also try to say something before you risk getting a ban.
Even if you tempt me to do so, I will not comment on your asset quality.
But you should definitely watch out, because you might really get into trouble if you keep this upâŚ
As I said, I have more then 20 assets here. It was cases some was rejected, and I always had a clear answer in rejection letter.
It was cases they asked me to improve things. Sometimes I do. Sometimes it was to much work, I didnât.
I know to make shades in Unreal and in many other 3D soft.
Well, in case you start getting toxic (that means, if you are offensive without a reason sufficiently justifying your case), you might earn yourself a ban. The Staff would delete all traces of you in the marketplace and forums etc.
Actually, you might even get into trouble if your counterpart is offending you. Because professionalism is about staying friendly and constructive even when your work is being rejected.
Just ask them, they donât always write why it was rejected, but I never heard of anyone where they wouldnât have answered it after asking for the reason.
Many of the screenshots on your website look definitely better than the screenshot you posted in the first post of this thread. To me it seems like your character looks quite a bit better in Unity than it does in UE4, so maybe you just donât know how to create a good material setup for your character in UE4.
But I also have to say, your animations looks really not good. Itâs clearly visible that they are not motion captured, and there are many great motion captured animation packs on the UE4 Marketplace. So maybe Epic just rejected your submission because of those animations. Just ask them.
anyways, I hope that in a few years you will think back of these discussions and think âoh boy, what was I thinking, I am glad I improved as an artist AND as a personâ
Because just like I said in the thread you deleted (because you could not handle criticism) keep practicing, because you have potential.
@Luos One more time. Please understand. You can say anithing about my art, if this improves your self-esteem. Personally I just donât need advises.
I have my own way to live and to learn things. Not like you.
It can sometimes take a few weeks to get a response from epic, so you probably just need to wait.
If the character would look like on the Unity screenshots and have proper PBR I think Epic should accept it, since $40 is not much and Iâm always for letting people decide with their wallet if they like content or not.
Epic just doesnât want to have too many refunds, and something like missing PBR is something that isnât directly visible for the buyer and might cause many refunds, so Epic just doesnât accept content like that I think. Iâm not an artist, but the way you plug in the RGB pin of your texture into the Specular looks very strange. That lerp for the roughness also looks bad, you should do the same directly in the texture.
Roughness are taken from special texture sitting in alpha of specular, it just inverted by lerp and a bit corrected.
Even in Unity marked where I am selling much much more I have refund requests one in half year.
I fill you just believe that Ureal stuff is something that canât make mistakes or even worst they canât do unfaire things. And in this case only me a wrong guy.
If it makes you life better - no problemo.
@ mr.Necturus
I agree with others on character not looking next gen it lacks quality , for example clothes are too shiny, the clotes lacks polygon wrinckles, the skin should use SSS shader and the hair should have a specific shader.
The character looks a lot like some quickly Daz generated one without real work on it. There is always something to improve if you are able to listen to people advices for your good only.
Every next generation after a wile became old generation. I never used Daz. So you are thinking I must go and improve my old characters over and over every next yer, the will look next generation. I prefer to make new stuff.
Iâm going to chime in here and say that I think the character looks fine. I suspect it was rejected because itâs a asset tweaked for resale.
Remember that thread where you were having trouble converting a skeleton to UE and just couldnât be helped without getting insulting? I remember. Who in their right mind rigs a character and then tries to adapt that to UE? Nobody. You couldnât do that because you were using the auto-rigger.
I doubt Epic wanted to get into an argument with you, look at your behaviour in this thread.
My advice, whether you like it or not, is to scram and come back when you can make your own assets and act like an adult. Continuing to argue will just continue to destroy your reputation, which may follow you around forever. Show us that you know when to back down and apologise.
I must say i expected many things but not something like that.
I found easy way to re-rig characters. And I never used something from even one bit from them.
It does look a lot like that mate. See my rationale in the post that you replied to without really reading.
If not that then put it down to the way you behave on here. If you hadnât started these threads and picked fights youâd probably find that the people you need to talk to would have talked to you. I certainly wouldnât have you on any marketplace I ran after seeing that. I wouldnât trust you to interact with my user base.
OK I donât think that someone have right to call somone a theft on forum without any prove.
Just because he donât like the person. This is clear trolling.
This is over all borders.
