hi @besthillex ,
This problem used to be because using Windows 11 requires that you open UEFN using the Games Launcher as Administrator or right-click “Run as Administrator” .

UEFN will not install correctly from Launcher on any Windows 11 (eleven) version needs to run Elevated "Run As Administrator - General / Issues and Bug Reporting - Epic Developer Community Forums

The Unreal Revision Control has recently been updated, so this may no longer be the case.

@besthillex thank you for reporting. We’re still investigating the root cause of this happening intermittently, but I have a workaround for you to try. Could you please reach out to me at @epic_garren on discord?

We’re still working on a fix for this issue, but in the meantime, please see the workaround posted in this thread Error "Branch does not exist" in Unreal Revision Control - #8 by gxg_work
