Hello,
I am reaching out regarding an issue with publishing an island I created in UEFN. After changing the brand, I encountered an error during the publication submission process and have been unable to publish the island. I would greatly appreciate your assistance in resolving this matter.

hi @Zirexax ,

As an Indie developer have encountered this problem.

There are limitation on Branded islands of 30 days meaning you cannot change to another brand

Further to this there are extra Brand Rules for Star Wars Brand

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond and share that information — it’s really helpful!

To clarify my situation: it has been well over 30 days since I switched to the KPDH brand, so I don’t believe the 30-day limitation should be the issue here.

However, most recently I attempted to change from the KPDH brand to the FALL GUYS brand and publish my island, but I encountered the same error again.

I have a couple of questions I was hoping you could help me with:

  1. Does a failed publish attempt (one that results in an error) count as a brand change? I’m wondering if the error itself is resetting or consuming the brand change allowance.
  2. Could the error potentially be caused by something related to the map itself, rather than the brand change?

Since this is my first time encountering a publish error like this, I’m honestly quite confused about how to proceed. Any guidance or advice you could offer would be greatly appreciated — thank you!

hi @Zirexax

have you looked at the rule 1.9.1 and 1.9.2 as of March 11, updated April 2026 and May 2026 as above

You must make significant changes in each island to change BRANDS or new island.

This is likely due to this post it’s saying fixed, but it’s not yet. You can see the full post here Publishing Error - #25 by 13HARAMBE37
