I have the same problem too.
I’m the owner of Generic Game System , Generic Input System and Generic Movement System
But I can’t install my own plugins(Other client can do that.),
The error as following:
ā€Installed Failed. Could not load installation information. Please check if the installation has been removed or existed on an external drive. If the external drive containing the installation is disconnected - please plugin it back in the computer and restart the launcher. Uninstalling the product and installing it again could also resolve the issue.ā€

Error Code: IS-0009

I did the restarting and reinstalling, nothing helped.
@skfabby Hello, Could you take a look and forward this to dev team? Thanks!

Hello. @BDC_Patrick @luochuanyuewu Please note that Fab devs are already looking into it. We will let you know as soon as there is any update.

Thank you!

It’s been now 2 weeks and still the same problem :frowning:

Another 2 Weeks.

@Urooj.shahzadi, are there any updates to this?

I am having the same Issue.

I’m having the same issue since november (maybe longer)…

Still no solution/update from the fab team?

EMP-19783 has been created and its status is ā€˜Needs Triage’. This is now in a queue to be reproduced and confirmed.

Glad to see I am not alone and this is already being noticed :smiling_face_with_tear:

Same issue

Error IS-0009
Same issue, this is a pain i can’t update Unreal Engine 5.7

If i try again i get a another error II-E1003

HI DID YOU RESOLVE THE ISSUE? HAVE THE SAME ISSUE BUT DISCOVERED THE PLUGIN IS GETTING DOWNLOADED INTO THE VAULTCACHE FAB FOLDER?

DON’T KNOW IF THAT HELPS?

Again.. this time even more than 2 Weeks.. still the same Problem..

Also tried to reinstall everything.. Did not solve anything.

Can someone of the Fab Support please give some words..?

Hi everyone!
I just fixed this issue myself, so I wanted to share what worked for me. Maybe this will help you too :slightly_smiling_face:

  1. Go to:
C:\ProgramData\Epic\EpicGamesLauncher\Data\Manifests

Delete any .item / .manifest files related to Unreal Engine 5.7.

  1. Clear the Epic Games Launcher cache:
C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher\Saved

Delete these folders if they exist:

webcache
webcache_443
Logs

  1. Restart your PC.

  2. Run Epic Games Launcher as Administrator and try installing UE 5.7 again.

If it still doesn’t work, I also tried deleting:

C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Local\EpicGamesLauncher
C:\Users\<your-username>\AppData\Roaming\EpicGamesLauncher

Then reinstalling the launcher, or installing UE to a different path (like D:\Epic\UE_5.7).

Hope this helps someone! :raising_hands:

@rwk326
Problems fixed , thank you man

This happens to me since about 6 months. Epic wont help.
For all plugins that already existed on the UEM. For all of their supported engine versions. ANd happens no matter if I install one new or try to update one

So… I did completely wipe Epic Games from my System..
meaning:
Removing Unreal.
Removing the Launcher + EOS.
Deleting all Epic-related folders on the system, including in AppData and ProgramData.
Did a full recursive search for everything related to epic and unreal and wiped it off the system.

Restarted at least 2 times (i know 1 time is enough.. but making sure..)

REINSTALLED the Launcher and Unreal.

And i am still NOT able to install my own plugin..

So.. would anybody of the Support or Epic Games, please give advice or solution to fix this?

My Problem started in November.. WEEKS ago!!

After foloowing the steps described above, still can’t install my own plugin in the engine (5.6 in my case) .

I do have the same IS-0009 issue when trying to install my own plugins. I did not get any customer reports on this so far. Seems to only affect plugins that were carried over from the old UE marketplace.

It worked once for UE5.7 when using a VPN and logging in and out of the Epic Launcher multiple times. But only this one time. It could also be related to some Windows 11 security thing. Because if I recall correctly, this did not happen when I still had Windows 10. But I cannot fully confirm this.

It would be nice if the FAB team could look into fixing this. Thanks!
