I have the same problem too.
Iām the owner of Generic Game System , Generic Input System and Generic Movement System
But I canāt install my own plugins(Other client can do that.),
The error as following:
āInstalled Failed. Could not load installation information. Please check if the installation has been removed or existed on an external drive. If the external drive containing the installation is disconnected - please plugin it back in the computer and restart the launcher. Uninstalling the product and installing it again could also resolve the issue.ā
Error Code: IS-0009
I did the restarting and reinstalling, nothing helped. @skfabby Hello, Could you take a look and forward this to dev team? Thanks!
This happens to me since about 6 months. Epic wont help.
For all plugins that already existed on the UEM. For all of their supported engine versions. ANd happens no matter if I install one new or try to update one
So⦠I did completely wipe Epic Games from my System..
meaning:
Removing Unreal.
Removing the Launcher + EOS.
Deleting all Epic-related folders on the system, including in AppData and ProgramData.
Did a full recursive search for everything related to epic and unreal and wiped it off the system.
Restarted at least 2 times (i know 1 time is enough.. but making sure..)
REINSTALLED the Launcher and Unreal.
And i am still NOT able to install my own plugin..
I do have the same IS-0009 issue when trying to install my own plugins. I did not get any customer reports on this so far. Seems to only affect plugins that were carried over from the old UE marketplace.
It worked once for UE5.7 when using a VPN and logging in and out of the Epic Launcher multiple times. But only this one time. It could also be related to some Windows 11 security thing. Because if I recall correctly, this did not happen when I still had Windows 10. But I cannot fully confirm this.
It would be nice if the FAB team could look into fixing this. Thanks!
