epics new partner quixel megascans does not work

yeh so unreal’s brand new partner - well epics new partner
megascans - the quixel stuff

yeh none of that works i tried all kinds of ways for an entire day
the plugin is a no go right off the bat, and installing unreal 4.24.3 was taking way way way way way too long
not to mention with a brand new partnership 4.25 should be the most secure thing out there for quixel

but its not.

then i checked out some videos on how to import metalness and gloss and all that and apparently no one has a clue

so how am i doing this manually, i have all the JPG assets, which were converted to PNG isnt that nice.
i made a material, i dragged the pins to what would likely be the appropriate places on the material
as i have seen a screen on a guys computer that megascans actually worked on, none of these guys post in 4k
so god knows what they have for computers
but

yeh its not that difficult what it does there did not seem to be any hidden or extra options

but see the textures dont have a filename on them so i cant connect what got connected where based on quixel bridge
in his video

so how does that get done - and yes? this is the level that unreal engine people are at? no level at all?
last 10 things ive looked for are all basic - not a single one of them is documented

i did after hundreds of searches manage to - hey i was just thinking, this was swarm searches. literally, i used all kinds of spreads of words. so i did swarm searches and nothing but hours later - YOU LITERALLY HAVE TO ENTER THE PORT NUMBER MANUALLY i mean come on man

it automatically puts it in the form and its the wrong one and then it complains and you legit got to enter it in by hand into the automatically posted form

im pretty sure that dood that figured that out legit lived in india too he wasnt one of the 90% of people in this thing, wait where was i going with that. some of them are here some of them are there? but theres no one but hindi developers ?

All you have to do is make sure you run Quixel Bridge as Administrator. Then set it up like everyone else. Hope that works for you.
