Sadly I can’t submit my entry. I ran out of time and had too many loose ends. So here is a video, how it would have looked and played like (atleast the mechanics I could implement):
I’m considering finishing it post game jam :).
You were a machine and died/ceased to exist. Now you end up in a limbo, where vile and creepy creatures roam around to drain your light (soul). The limbo itself drains your light, which is your life essence. To be reincarnated in a new machine, your “soul” needs to reach the gates of solitude, before the light runs out. All player attacks are only there to stall the enemies and freeze them temporarily to escape them. However, every skill drains your soul too. To refill your light, you can use light shrines.
At the end there should have been 2 mechanical giants as some kind of a boss fight.

We’ve made a VR Game called **Vralhalla **for HTC Vive, where you need to survive sailing through a dangerous ocean! You must collect fuel to keep your torches lit, or the Kraken will kill you!
You control it, by pulling the rope to the sail with the trigger, and push/pull the tiller. Dodge the rocks or your boat will take damage. You can pick up shields to reinforce your boat!
The download link is below. It should be the same as the submission, but I can’t find a way to edit the submission, so on behalf of the team, I hope it was all submitted correctly!

You are a spelunker who fell through a rock chimney into a dark cave infested with…aliens! Good thing you brought your headlamp and infinite-ammo grenade launcher, like you always do when exploring caves! You quickly find you are not the first, and the last guy to fall in left charcoal markings to navigate by. Essentially one ten-minute level with boss at the end. End screen shows stats and saves best stats for comparison, and lets you restart game or quit. No saved game…if you die you restart. Use Pause menu to quit game (or Alt-F4).
Key bindings are mostly like the Unreal Engine 4 First Person Template:

Wait for the shuttle to dock at the supply depot, then exit the ship and go find/pickup your supplies by pressing “E” when the object is aligned with your reticle. WASD and mouse are used for pawn and camera movement. Press “F” to toggle flying in order to maneuver the zero-G environment, or else this objective will be impossible to complete. Use your flashlight here as well, it’s very dark in outer space. Once you have gathered your supplies, re-enter the shuttle and press “E” while your reticle is hovering over the shiny button to engage the flight system and travel to your next destination. Make sure you’re not flying because there’s a boolian that prevents the player from turning the engine’s on while still in the air. (player must be moving on ground to activate button). Once shuttle has reached the space station, exit ship, restore temporary power to the space station hatch, open the hatch, and enter the station. Now, turn on the backup computers, then toggle your ‘Welding Tool’ and press “Left Mouse” to repair Module 001, Module 002, and Module 003 by pointing at them and holding left mouse. Once these are repaired, you can open the hall way doors. Find the water reservoir room and insert fertilizer into the reservoir, then head to the hydro farm room and plant all 16 pots by pointing your reticle at them and pressing “E”. Turn on the hydro farm computer to switch on the grow lights. Then, head to the main computer room and contact headquarters. Mission success, head back to the shuttle and press “E” to exit mission.

UI Uses Vollkorn Font Family (Google Fonts). Original Models made with Oculus Medium using “Organic” and “Mechanical” preset stamp libraries. ChargeBot character used Mixamo Autorigger and Mocap files “Back Squat” and “Tired Idle”. Blueprint code uses parts of the Time Attack tutorial.
I hoped that I’d make more levels but I ran out time…

There are still a few bugs with the enemy AI and sound I was unable to work out in time. However, the game pretty close to what I was shooting for. Please let me know your thoughts if you give it a play. I’d be interested in hearing any and all feedback so I can continue to improve. Thanks!

Can you spread more light by cheering up the people in the city before darkness overtakes you?
Use WASD to move, mouse to look around, and space to jump. Press E to cheer a person up and bring them to the light side. Avoid people who are on the dark side. Also, at night, people on the light side will give you a health boost, but watch out, people on the dark side will hurt your health. At night, there are powerful beings of darkness will chase you indefinitely until the sun comes up. One hit from these beings will destroy you so avoid them at all costs.

Your main task is to rescue as much as planets you can and try to achieve the best score and the best time before your path comes to an end. Along your path, you will be able to collect energy resource boosts and speed boosts while meteors and anti matter particles are dangers that you should be avoiding. [FONT=Microsoft PhagsPa]Scoring is basically based on your acceleration during gameplay. More you accelerate, more points (higher bonus multiplier) you get. At the end of gameplay, your gameplay score is multiplied by the number of planets you saved and also if you finish your path with your energy remaining, these are also added to your total score. You can view your current/best score and current/best time inside the game lobby.
