@Amanda.Schade or anyone? Please help. There are still some people who really do depend on this.
@Neongho@O_and_N@CobaltUDK@Chosker can you come tell us how much you need the UDK forum? That will bump the thread and hopefully someone at Epic will notice.
@Coldscooter I usually don’t check the rest of the forum, but if you ask your question anywhere and tag me, I’ll notice it. That might be how we have to ask each other questions until this is resolved.
I usually don’t check the UDK sub-forums anymore. I stopped using UDK at least 3 years ago so I’d only come here to help others. but now the UDK section is always riddled with posts from UE4/UE5 so I only check threads when someone tags me
The ability to create new topics in the UDK section of the forums has been disabled currently. However, you can see and reply to existing threads.
The UDK categories were spammed with non-related topics and used to avoid using forum tags in other areas of the forums. We will clean up this area of the forums and decide on our following action in due course.
The UDK forum is an essential resource for the continued development of my game. I have a large player base on Steam (with a long roadmap ahead) and rely on the forum heavily during development. I also pay Epic large quarterly royalty fees for use of the engine.
Given the age of the engine makes the forums even more important for us devs still working on active projects.
Hey, @Coldscooter!
We couldn’t agree more on the importance of maintaining the UDK forums and the work the community has put in to foster those categories, help others, and share their work.
We’ve got some stuff coming in the near future that will improve the experience of the UDK section(s) and the information within. More on that soon!
@AntiGravity No need for UDK devs to go anywhere–because the UDK section(s) aren’t either. Improvements are coming, though!
