Yeah, mine may be a little different than this problem. I’m on a 2003 Windows Gateway laptop and I want to download Epic Games and Fortnite. So I look up Epic Games Download, click on the very first website thingy. Then I hit download, download for Windows, and then it shows that it’s downloading at the bottom, but when I click/double click on the download file, it says “opening,” but then it doesn’t do anything. Please help me with this problem.

What lazy developer have not been able to throw a ■■■■■■■ human-readable errormessage which translate 0x000002623 to: “You do not meet minimum requirements because of hardware XX” or whatever the cause is… I mean young kids are being let down here.

One word: Error-handling!

After updating graphic drivers I have the same crash (only different “fault bucket” number).

If a graphic card is not supported or do not have minimal requirements I would expect that the launcer will end with an error saying: graphic card not supported or something similar… for speed issues I would expect the game to work with slower performances… not a mysterious crash without any error!

Open your task manager by pressing ctrl+alt+delete and find the epic games launcher, even if it’s not showing that it’s running, end the task, wait a second, and try opening the launcher again from your desktop.

FIX: Open Task Manager and on the Epic Games Launcher right click and choose end task. Re-open launcher and it should work.

Try updating your pc. I had the same problem and when I updated my pc it started working again.
