Epic Games Launcher don’t open!

Hi! I downloaded Cesium app from Fab for Mac. Then prompted to instal to Engine in the Library. I did it but crashed the Epic Games Launcher immediately. Now can’t open the Launcher! Deleted and install it several times. It crashes with this message: LoginId:ae0aa2c6314b5e7f1266e6ac799de157
EpicAccountId:de44d09011544e349cb1842acb69266b

You do not have any debugging symbols required to display the callstack for this crash. The Unreal projects work with the Engine, not the Launcher. I’m using a Macbookpro M2Max 64 gb latest OS Any help welcomed!

Hello there @CoBesQuangkhanDo!

Considering the error you are receiving, it’s most likely caused due missing components in your UE install. In the launcher, check the dropdown menu for Options, then you will see “Editor symbols for debugging” in the available installations.

Once that’s added, the issue should dissapear. If not, you will at least have a full crash log available, which you can share in the thread, for a further investigation. Crash reports from the editor are stored on your local machine in your project’s Saved/Crashes folder.

@brs-sebascova the launcher doesn’t open to be able to access menu!

Hello again!

Apologizes for the confusion, as you mentioned the engine and project were working, this is quite a peculiar issue. I believe the best approach would be a clear slate, not just uninstalling.

First, please delete the Cesium plugin manually by eliminating its folder, should be at either /Users/Shared/Epic Games/UE_5.xx/Engine/Plugins/Marketplace/ or /Engine/Plugins/

Next, clear the launcher’s cache, should be at ~/Library/Application Support/Epic/EpicGamesLauncher/Saved

Finally, fully clear the launcher from your system, reboot, and reinstall. For the full clear, delete the following folders:

  • /Applications/Epic Games Launcher.app
  • ~/Library/Application Support/Epic/
  • ~/Library/Logs/EpicGamesLauncher/
  • ~/Library/Preferences/com.epicgames.EpicGamesLauncher.plist

After the reinstall, try to open the launcher and your project without Cesium first. If everything works fine, test by adding the plugin manually only, from the plugin folder.
