Steps to Reproduce

Open any default island created by Epic ( to rule out potential problems caused by custom made maps).
For this test I used the Day Sequence Device demo map.

Find a spot with objects visible in the foreground as well as objects in the distance.

In the viewport, go to buffer visualization and select Ambient Occlusion.

Now add the environment light rig device, and in the world settings, disable all time of day managers.

Note how the ambient occlusion cuts off much closer to the camera, resulting in poor rendering quality of distant objects.

I tried pretty much all settings in the env light rig to fix the problem, including hiding the fog completely. I have not been able to find anything that controls this fade off effect.

Expected Result

The environment light rig device should by default create the same ambient occlusion quality as the day sequence device, or an easy to find control setting should be added.

Observed Result

The environment light rig device degrades the ambient occlusion pass compared to the day sequence device without obvious settings to fix the problem.
