End game doesn't work on UEFN Session

Summary

The End game fails to quit after the second attempt. When you test a map for the first time, everything works as expected when you end the game. But when you do it for the second time, it gets stuck on please wait. I have to go to lobby and launch a new session all over again. This has consistently been having over the last 2 days over several sessions. Its always exactly the 2nd session.

Steps to Reproduce

Launch session from UEFN
Start the game in the session and end the game. The session ends and goes back to the edit mode in creative.
Star the game again and try ending the game. The game will end mid way but never exit the game mode

Expected Result

Game should always end and return back to the edit session

Observed Result

Game is stuck in exit mode. when you hit ESC on your keyboard, you will notice please wait instead of end game.

Maybe it just takes a long time?
Do you have a lot of devices in your map…
Try wait it out, for me sometimes it takes a while

Thats the weird part. The first time I end the game, it works fine. When I start it for the second time, it does this. Its consistently the second time I start the map. Map is quite small and not a lot of devices either.

Also seeing exactly this. Been happening for a few days now so I’m not sure if it’s caused by a recent update. Something to try which seemed to work for me is to turn on “Fast Iteration Mode”:

  1. Island Settings
  2. Debug
  3. Enable Debug
  4. Enable Fast Iteration Mode

Mind you, don’t expect faster island loading after pushing changes. I still find it super slow :sweat_smile:
