Enabling Use First Bounce Ray Guiding in GPU Lightmass results in an all-black bake. I haven’t found a workaround yet, although I recall this feature working previously. I am unsure what might have caused this issue.
I’ve this issue while working on UE5.3 but I think in other versions the problem persist.

I have been using GPU Lightmass in this proyect for over a year without any issue. The only conclusion I’ve reach is that an update from Nvidia drivers made GPU Lightmass obsolete.
Hey, buddy. I have the exact same problem. When “Use First Bounce Ray Guiding” is enabled, the light bakes completely black in any scene, even with just a box and a light. The interesting thing is that on a system with a 3050, it bakes perfectly fine. But on my home PC with a 4070, baking with this feature doesn’t work at all. I couldn’t find a solution… I suspect it might be related to drivers or some peculiarity of the architecture of the newer graphics cards.
Yes, I know there’s an excellent community-made light baker, but didn’t the author stop supporting it, or am I mixing things up? I really wish the built-in methods in UE would just work properly, regardless of the graphics card series.
I didn’t immediately understand what topic you sent.
I solved the problem by switching to an older version of the graphics card driver. I installed 560.94.
But after your message, I installed the fix and everything started working as it should with the latest graphics drivers.
