Is there a way to emit particles from static mesh? Emit from vertices, or some kind of random surface emission, or even some kind of volume fill would be magnificent.
Are these things even possible at this stage? I could not find anything in cascade.
Anyway if anybody could help me with this that would be great.
Unfortunately, you can only emit particles from bones or you should make static adjusted emitter. You can also look at PopcornFX plugin (still in alpha). In which stream have you heard about new particle system? As far as I know Cascade isn’t Epic’s priority.
Take a look at the skel vert/surf location module inside of Cascade. It allows you to emit from skeletal meshes placed in a map. You can also create an array of joints to specifically emit from too.
