Emissive Materials ?

I’ve been testing emissive materials and have found that they only cast light onto reflective surfaces. Apparently, anything that lacks reflective calculations doesn’t receive the light at all. Is this normal? Is there something I’m missing? Did Epic gimp emissive materials somehow or is there a setting that I can use? I’m surprised that I’m not seeing settings for them like light sources. Thanks for any answers.

Never mind. I answered my own question with more testing. The environment from Epic was apparently a bit broken with some objects not receiving the light while others did, regardless of reflections. It’s like the diffuse parts of the materials had light receptions turned off. Weird.
