Editor opening additional instances of VS2017 when adding a new C++ class

This is in reference to issue UE-51608

I just wanted to note that I am currently experiencing this issue on Windows 10 (the description indicates that it only occurs on Windows 7). I’m using 4.18 downloaded via the launcher (i.e. not built from source) and Visual Studio Community 2017 version 15.4.0.

I have this issue too, I would like to see if there is a solution. I read somewhere in the unreal forums that it’s a bug and will be fixed in 4.19. It’s a very annoying issue I gotta to say…
