Echoes of Nature : Unreal Engine 5

Hey guys, I made a small forest scene as I am trying to explore lighting in Unreal Engine. Scene is fully made and rendered in unreal engine 5 using lumen. Megascans asset are used for foliage and environment.

Hi there @ak2o1,

Welcome to the Unreal Engine forums! It’s always so nice seeing a new face around here. Hope you’re well and having a wonderful week so far

This is genuinely breathtaking. I could watch the clips over and over. Absurdly beautiful. How long have you been using Unreal if you dont mind me asking?

Hi @PresumptivePanda

Thank you for the kind words!

It took me around three weeks to complete this. I had some free time from work, so I wanted to learn Unreal Engine and create something. About a year ago, I picked up Unreal but was only able to dedicate around two weeks to it at that time. So forgot everthing and had to learn again for this. All in all, I’d say I’ve spent about a month on Unreal Engine.
Hopefully, I won’t drop it again due to work or laziness! :slightly_smiling_face:

This pretty cool, I like how you worked with the vegetation, it looks very natural.

Wildly impressive honestly. My first few projects resulted in a brown blob of grass with no lighting - so you definitely have the skills for it  Hope we get to see a new project from you sometime soon!

This is a beautiful nature scene. Is it available for DL?

Had to start somewhere. Hopefully wont be lazy again and drop it after a month. :grinning:

Nope sorry this is just a random scene I made for learning the UI and lighting.

The link on the Epic Launcher appears to be wrong. You have to edit the URL manually to go to the page

Oh thanks for letting me know.
@PresumptivePanda How to fix this? Noticed the same URL problem with other blogs on that page as well.
