Hello Andy_rst,
From your screenshot and your description you say that you have a scene with dynamically lit lighting. The building in your screenshot is one solid piece of geometry. I have a couple of troubleshoots for you that could fix what appears to be light leaking.
1.) Change your lightmap resolution from it’s default settings to something like 1024. This can be achieved by double clicking on your building in your content browser. From this new window go to the details panel on the right side. Under the LOD0 section there is a roll out tab labeled Build settings.Click that and go to the option for Min Lighting Resolution. By default it should be 64. Change that to 1024.
2.) You can increase your indirect lighting smoothness. You can do this by going to your world settings. Under Lightmass> Lightmass settings there is an option for indirect lighting quality and indirect lighting bounces. Increasing these values will increase the indirect lighting quality by increasing the sampling done when calculating light in your scene. “I wouldn’t recommend increasing the bounces past 3 or 4 or the quality past 4.0.”
3.) If you are using a directional/light source and using Cascade shadow maps you can increase the distance of your cascade shadows. This calculates the distance form the camera that your shadows will cover. Also increasing the cascades will increase the number of cascades the view frustum will be split into. More cascades will result in better shadow resolution, but will increase rendering cost.
I suggest that you do these one at a time and document which one actually worked and not all at once. That way you can eliminate the guesswork and not add something you don’t particularly need/want inside your project
Let me know if any of these troubleshoots help with your issue.
Thank you,
It’s moonlight (BP_Skydome) issue. Just with DirLight in the level - i can setup shadow bias for good effect. But i can’t do this setup shadow bias for moonlight inside of BP_Skydome =(
