Dynamic Combat system?

Never done it, but I’d take baby steps:

  1. control character
  2. control character with animations
  3. put weapon in character hand
  4. swing weapons
  5. swing weapon and hit static targets
  6. swing weapon and hit targets stuck to other characters
  7. propagate damage from getting hit
  8. sound effect on hit
  9. particle effect on hit
  10. weapon hit weapon (blocking?)

I’d go way into animation tutorials at the start. That’s 90% of decent combat system.
