Dying While Boost Jumping Changes Player FOV

Summary

In creative maps where players respawn, if a player get eliminated while boost jumping, when they respawn their FOV will be changed. When this bug occurs, while the player is respawning, they will be shown a camera view located at (0,0,0) in the map.

I believe this occurs because the player’s FOV is slightly changed when they do the boost jump, so depending on the timing of the elimination, this FOV change becomes permanent. Seeing the camera view at the origin further supports the idea that the camera is not recovering properly during the respawn.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Be in a creative map with respawns, Chapter 6 movement, boost jumps enabled
  2. Have low HP
  3. Get eliminated immediately after activating boost jump
  4. Observe seeing a camera view at map origin during respawn
  5. Observe increased FOV permanently after respawning

Expected Result

Dying while performing boost jump does not permanently affect player FOV

Observed Result

Dying while performing boost jump permanently affects player FOV

I was able to reproduce the issue a couple of time by dying to a Fire Oni Mask while boost jumping

Another clip. In this video I believe the player is just about to long jump before dying, this causes the glitch, it is still present.
