DX12 + VR = crash after 2 sec normal in 4.23?

I had this happen a little while ago when I enabled DX12 on my machine. I found it was due to the project’s Antialiasing settings. on my machine, I was trying to launch with MSAA enabled and had to change it to Temporal AA. I create a youtube tutorial about it which might help if you are unsure about how to do this.

Even a new project based on the vr template crashes with dx12 on.
RTX 2080 431.86 driver on Theadripper, Win 10, Vive pro
Is this normal?
