Dungeon Stone Floors

Been working on this asset package for the last couple of weeks in my spare time. Planning on submitting them to the unreal marketplace soon along with some other online avenues shortly. These are optimized for Unreal 5 using Nanite and UDIM uv maps and materials with Virtual Texturing. I experimented with some different methods of making some premade configurations but because of nanite you can’t use blueprints to make prefabs anymore it seems. The large tiles are just shy of 800k polygons and each tile is hand placed. I’m getting 70fps no matter how many I place on a radeon rx 580 4GB at 1080.

Hey there @darkhemic,

Hope you’re doing well!

This package looks amazing!

I love the variety of each tile and their distinctive flaws. You mentioned each tile is hand placed, will you be making larger multiple tile pieces for a speedy placement?

You’ve done a great job and I can’t wait to see more of your work!

Cheers and happy developing!

At this moment I’m still working out the best way to deliver the best quality groups. Blueprints won’t work without a performance hit. I’ve looked at a couple different addons that make prefabs as well. Those addons also experience the same performance it as well.

Ah understood. Well, in the meantime, what you’ve made looks incredible.

Thanks. I’m going to making/updating a lot of my assets for unreal 5 and releasing them into the wild as my team works on our game using the same assets.

I clearly need to fix my material colors in substance before I release this, but here is some more of assets that are part of the same pack.

So I’ve found a way for Nanite assets to be built into prefabs without the performance hit and it’s insanely powerful.

If I end up decorating a wall of my house with stone cobble tile, I’m entirely blaming you. Seriously though, this looks amazing! Especially once a bit of light was entered into the scene.

Thanks so much for sharing your work and I can’t wait for the next update!

Thank you for your wonderful words of encouragement.

I think that’s it for today’s art dump on the project.

I see you’ve fixed the material colors  It’s looking great!

Yeah I managed to find the time to fix the material colors lol.
