Summary
Air Drift allows a player to preserve an active drift state while airborne. Instead of the drift ending when the vehicle leaves the ground, the drift angle and drift momentum are maintained through the jump and can be continued upon landing.
This allows players to take racing lines that would normally be impossible and preserve drift setup through gaps, hazards, and elevation changes.

Steps to Reproduce
Begin a normal drift.
While still drifting, jump.
Continue holding the drift input while airborne.
Maintain vehicle orientation during flight.
Land while still holding drift.
Expected Result
A drift would be expected to depend on tire contact with the racing surface.
Leaving the ground would either:
End the drift state entirely, or
Require a new drift input after landing.
Observed Result
The drift state remains active while airborne and resumes immediately upon landing.
The player effectively carries drift momentum through a section where no tires are touching the track
