Drawing hands model on top (without overlapping other objects)

Is that possible to draw model on top of all geometry?
For example first person hands with weapon (to avoid overlapping effect with objects without extending capsule radius).
Or there are more right solutions? Weapon animation?

Was wondering the same thing. Serious Sam HD encounters seem to render hands and weapons in different camera (don’t know exact terms for that) so they not only overlap proof, but also independent from game FOV and don’t get distorted.
