Dragging in air while falling

How can I decrease the distance that character dragged in the air while falling?
I don’t want to use Gravity Scale to achieve this because my jump logic will change.

now as for your question itself, you need to explain the issue more thoroughly and in a clearer manner. it sounds like you want the character to fall slower but its hard to tell for sure.

About the question, I should say when my character falls down from a ledge it goes far distance to land so I want to decrease this distance, One why is Increase gravity scale to help character fall sooner but in this situation my jump logic will be wrong. Is there any way to implement it?
