Double and Trouble shotguns use the incorrect weapon sounds

Summary

The Double and Trouble shotguns are exotic variants of the Pump Shotgun, as evident by the mesh used for the weapons being identical to the original Pump Shotgun, as well as other various factors like the internal weapon IDs being nearly identical (i.e. WID_Shotgun_Pump_Standard_Athena_DX for Double, and WID_Shotgun_Standard_Athena_SR_Ore_T03 for a legendary Pump Shotgun). However, since their introduction to Fortnite, the shotguns incorrectly make use of the reloading, firing, and equip sounds from the Sentinel Pump Shotgun. This is due to the fact that Double and Trouble were intended to be exotic variants of the Sentinel Pump Shotgun before being completed, as seen in the provided promotional image revealed before the official release and completion of development for Chapter 6: Season 4.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Open a Creative island
  • Place Double and/or Trouble into the island, as well as the Pump Shotgun and Sentinel Pump Shotgun for reference
  • Equip, fire, and reload the various weapons, comparing these sounds to each other

Expected Result

Double and Trouble’s sounds for these actions should be identical to that of the Pump Shotgun.

Observed Result

Double and Trouble instead borrow the Sentinel Pump Shotgun’s sound effects for these actions, which it is no longer intended to be an exotic variant of.

Additional Notes

This post was not created to be, and is not, a duplicate of FORT-1126108, as said bug report mentions Double and Trouble’s stats being different from the base Pump Shotgun, which are very obviously intentional.

Don’t you think this was intentional? It doesnt really matter what sound a weapon has, if you think of the thunderclap dmr you also think of the huntress dmr, not the deadeye dmr
