Dont Panic - New Game by Deep Pixel Studio

The underground waterways reminds me a ton of Outlast. Really beautifully done. I so hope to see people exploring this game and all the jumpscares that come with it

@PresumptivePanda Ha me too! Getting the word out is difficult though - but my philosophy is simple, keep making the game better and better and the players will come! :metal: :ghost:

I recently had the opportunity to purchase and play “Don’t Panic,” and I must say, it is a fantastic game! The gameplay is seamless, and the eerie elements are just right. 10/10. I definitely recommend it!

Oh that is delightful! I’m actually about to push another update to improve performance again, which should boost fps (in my case, from 90fps to 145fps (280fps with dlss!)).

Feel free to join the discord where you can interact with the community on all sorts of topics including the new Midnight Carnival Game Mode! Don't Panic

Introducing Midnight Carnival a new gamemode for Don’t Panic.

Travel to the various locations in this eerie open world to find all the generators. Travel safely on the train or try your luck on foot through the spider-infested forest. Grab the box of wonders and teleport out of that nightmare!
p.s. Beware the clowns…

[BETA RELEASE - still under development but as it’s a community-driven game, I figure the community should be involved xD]

Man, first time I saw this game, I about screamed when I saw the dummy moved. This looks incredible! Keep up the good work!

Hi again @ruigol,

Definitely agree with these two, this is looking super creative and wonderfully spooky. Can’t wait to see the next update

Hello again @ruigol,
Have you considered reaching out to media companies to advertise? I know that’s how most get noticed, either through that or streamers, which I know you said you tried already. But I’m unsure why it’s not getting noticed. Sorry if you already tried it and I just haven’t seen the message.

I haven’t tried media companies as yet, been grabbing streamers’ attention one at a time really - just one of those things I guess - I used to wonder sceptically about social media jobs but I’m starting to see it really is a constant thing and I need to get better at posting dev logs or content I’m working on in general

Awesome! I hope that goes well - I would certainly watch a devlog if you made one!

Also, have you also considered varying the methods that monsters use to track you? Such as the dummy being scannable with that tracker thingy, and maybe the undead bride could be tracked by a glowing wedding ring maybe that can be found in the map somewhere? You could also add sound cues for specific types of creatures, to alert you to their presence where you might need to perform a certain action to get past them.

All just suggestions, of course. I personally have not played your game and what I’m working off of could be very outdated. These are just thing that I personally think could make the game more interesting.

Cheers! :grinning:

Those are some great suggestions! I love getting new ideas. I’ve started some other projects at the moment (not really games but moreso applications built in unreal) but when I get a moment I’d love to implement some of these into it! Thanks!
