I just downloaded the lyra starter game and launched it with version 5.3.1 and I have a problem, I don’t see the global distance field, it doesn’t work at all because the particles don’t collide with settings GPU >collision > distance field.
Which is very strange is that in the project settings I have Generate mesh distance field enabled and if I create a default project, the distance field works very well. I can’t understand, if everything is included, how can it be that the distance field doesn’t work.
Anyone find a way to get distance fields working with hardware raytracing? Looks like they’re generated, but any material that uses them seems to do nothing when using hardware raytracing.
Found the issue… looks like GlobalIlumination needs the distance fields enabled in the Config\DefaultScalability.ini
This fixes the issue.
