Does UN-USED material slots affect performance?
that happens when you re-import a mesh on another mesh that has fewer materials than the original mesh, even though the slots have their materials assigned, but they are not connected to any part of the mesh, and I think that they can be removed individually.
So why not removing them? because they are so many. that’s why I’m asking, more details on this thread: Bulk/single (static mesh) assign specific materials to material slots according to material slot's name (from FBX)
