Does UE4 have compatibility with C4D in terms of materials?
To the ones wondering: C4D stands for “Cinema 4D”
FBX supports the transfer of basic texture map assignments, so assuming C4D supports that FBX feature, that should work and should save you from having to manually apply your diffuse, normal, etc. after import. However you can’t transfer a complex custom shader if that is what you are looking for. Shaders for offline and realtime rendering are quite different and no DCC package can transfer those shaders over to UE4.
