since i upgraded to 5.3, i have the (strong) feeling the textures had been downscaled into the editor. i say have the feeling becauseit’s mostly walls textures (plaster, stucco…) and i can’t be 100% sure. but the walls normalmaps look less sharp. i have 1024² textures, they should look sharper. so does the engine downscales automatically the textures when it judges it had reached a bottleneck, and how can we fix it

Have you tried setting the editor graphical settings to be higher? There are some quick settings you can jump back and forth to, and the default may not be what you’re looking for!
Try setting this to Epic or Cinematic and let us know what happens!
i checked and it was on epic. the result is the same with cinematic. that thing was confusing me so much that i decided to do a test. some buildings looked good while others seems having a problem. so i did a test with a brand new project free of content. i tried with the same landscape material as my main project. and there’s definitely a prob. here are both the brand new project, and the normal project
this is the new project the grass texture looks as it should
and this is the main project. the texture looks blurred
at this point i’m suspecting a 5.3 bug
