Does it worth it to clone objects in TM instead of placing them in modelling software.

Hi there!

I modelled this red ribbon chair and then placed many of them in my modelling soft, Lightwave this case, cause I can be very precise and fast doing that.

My question is if it worths it to import just one unit into TM and them placing many instances or copies of it in the desidered places.

I mean in render times, if TM goes faster rendering 20 instances (or copies, is it any difference?) instead of 20 chairs imported as a unique object?

Hi ,

It is usually better to use instances/copies of objects, rather than importing them separately. For smaller projects you won't usually notice a difference, but it can slow down larger projects when you so a lot of separately imported content.
