On a basic parkour map with no guns and no fighting, if we use some traps such as the spiky ones or the dart ones does that constitute violence on the IARC form?
I have a E rating on my parkour map. It has been approved. I decided to push an update changing the word DEATHRUN to PARKOUR with no map changes and it came back as a fail due to the content within the island.
So, I need to know if a rating of E is appropriate for a parkour map with no fighting and no weapons. The lobby image is just an empty room within the map and the thumbnails are just a player jumping inside one of the rooms (not showing any weapons, etc.)
In case I do not get an official response I’d love to hear from other users who have published Parkour maps what IARC rating they have on their maps and how they answer the violence questions.
It would really help if instead of “The content in your creative island” we had a response like: The weapons don’t work with your rating. OR That scary ghost doesn’t work with your rating" or some actually specific items so we would have an idea if the fail was a mistake or if we should be actually looking for something in the island which doesn’t coincide with our current rating.
Just as an update on this; I did look over the IARC form and I do feel that I filled it out correctly (selecting no to violence). I ended up re-submitting the map with no changes and it was approved.
I’d still like to know if traps constitute violence in a map but when this approval/fail/approval happens it really does get confusing. Now I really don’t know if the fail was just an error. And again… saying ‘content in your island’ is beyond vague.
