I’ve built my program to a certain complexity, and I’m curious if building a master material and making a bunch of instances off that is really that much more efficient than what I already did, which was make 20-30 different materials all as basic as just having a couple colors inside. Would it be worth it to go back through and replace those with instances?
It will improve the performance a little bit: https://answers.unrealengine/questions/127435/using-instanced-meshes-doesnt-reduce-draw-calls.html (detailed description in this thread) ![]()
