Hi friends,
I have question that seems to have no answer. I have a distance field based opacity on these objects, and it is activated by an invisible object nearby. (that object casts no shadows.) The pink object to the right has a masked shadow that works correctly.
This is the case even if i try and force the ShadowPassSwtich to be the same as the opacity it dtill does nothing. (but if i force it to have some other shadow, like a circle, it does register)
It appears that the cause is to do with the distance field functionality, but i dont understand why that would be the case, if its just being converted to a black and white value in the opacity map.
Does anyone know how to rectify this? Any clever Ideas? Any help is much appreciated!
