Distance field in font material for UMG

I have text in an UMG widget and I’d like to add some font effects to it like inner shadow. For that I’d need to sample the font distance field but I don’t know how to do that: while I can sample a Font Param in the material (with UI domain) the UVs don’t match the individual letters. Also, the data I see coming from the sample does not look like a distance field…

I am also interested in finding the answer to this . All Fonts in UMG are all sharp. Rather than having some nice falloff towards the edges of the font. Have a signed distance field could help with that.

Did anyone have any luck and find a way to do this yet? Im very interested in knowing this too.
