Displacement in RVT Textures. How does it work?

Displacement in RVT Textures. How does it work? The Displacement output node there is no documentation for in 5.4. It was recently added in 5.4.

So far i have been using my tesselation/displacement with the mask output pin that works fine. The displacement output pin almost works fine but it does not seem to respect layer ordering for RVT contributing decals that also have their own height outputs… The layer sort order is respected jsut fine with the mask output pin.

So i gotta ask… whats the point of the displacement pin?
