Publishing
Steps to Reproduce
Publish a horror map to Fortnite Creative after October 23rd, 2025
Wait 24-48 hours for indexing
Search for the map in Discovery or browse horror collections
Observe that newly published horror maps do not appear (except in “News and Updated”, and "First Person Islands), while maps from October 22 and before dominate the Horror discovery and collection tabs
Expected Result
Newly published, high-quality horror maps should appear in Discovery and relevant collections within normal indexing timeframes, allowing fair visibility regardless of publication date.
Observed Result
100% of horror maps published after October 23rd are absent from Discovery and all collections. Maps from October 21-22 maintain top positions with no competition from newer releases. Even from

Additional Notes
Severity: Critical — This issue directly impacts creator revenue, player experience during peak season, and platform ecosystem fairness.
Timeline: Issue began October 23rd, 2025. This coincides with the post-Halloween period but affects all horror content published after that date, not just seasonal content.
Scope Verification: The issue affects creators across all skill levels and follower counts, including established creators with large audiences (e.g., Ouch). This suggests a platform-wide technical failure rather than account-specific limitations.
Developer Impact: Many creators invested significant time and resources preparing horror experiences specifically for Halloween season. Zero visibility makes this investment unrecoverable and discourages future content creation during premium seasons.
Potential Causes:
Indexing or database error preventing post-October 23rd horror maps from being cataloged in Discovery
Unintended filtering rule excluding recent horror content
Algorithm misconfiguration affecting horror category specifically
Content moderation hold affecting entire category post-October 23rd
Request: Please clarify whether this is a known issue, provide ETA for resolution, and confirm if there are workarounds creators can use to restore visibility for their maps.
Note: This is blocking my personal release schedule—I’m hesitant to publish new content until this is resolved, as it will receive zero exposure.
