Discovery algorithm behavior and potential account-level restrictions

Summary

Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced a similar situation or if any Epic staff can clarify a concern regarding account standing.

I have a few maps with excellent performance metrics (High retention rates and average session times that are well above average). Despite this, these maps have seen zero movement in the Discovery tabs for an extended period. It feels like the maps are being ‘held back’ from the system entirely.

Context:
My account had some sanctions on older versions of maps in the past (which have since been resolved and the maps updated to be fully compliant).

My Question:

  • Does Epic implement account-wide restrictions on Discovery visibility based on past violations, even if the current maps are 100% compliant and performing well?

  • Is there a way to verify if my account has a ‘Trust Score’ penalty that is impacting my reach?

I’m trying to decide if it’s possible to recover this account’s standing or if I should consider starting fresh. Any insights would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Creator Portal

Steps to Reproduce

Publish a new map/update that complies with all Epic Games guidelines.

Achieve high engagement metrics (Retention and Average Session Time) confirmed via Creator Portal analytics.

Monitor Discovery tabs and “New” categories for the map’s presence

Expected Result

Maps with high player retention and positive engagement should naturally gain traction or at least appear in relevant Discovery rows (like “New” or “Trending”) to allow for organic growth

Observed Result

Despite the high metrics, the map remains at zero organic discovery impressions. It appears as though the account/map is being restricted from the Discovery system entirely, regardless of its performance or compliance status

Additional Notes

I am adding these notes because this issue is deeply affecting my career as a creator. I’ve put my heart and soul into building Frostbyte Maps, and while I made some early technical mistakes in my code and settings that led to sanctions, I have since learned from every single one of them.

Today, I follow every guideline strictly and my content is 100% compliant. My current maps are achieving excellent player retention and session time, but they receive zero discovery. It feels like I am being permanently penalized for past learning mistakes, despite doing everything right now.

I’m just looking for a fair chance to grow and to know if my account standing can be restored. I’ve worked so hard to fix my past errors; I just want to know if there’s a path forward for me on this account.
