Disappearing ball shadow on Quest 2

I have a ball, and it’s shadow disappears when the camera is more than approx 4 meters away. I’ve tried disabling it’s LODs, playing with different settings I’ve found Googling, with no success.

Using a moveable directional light, shadow casting, 20m dynamic shadow distance, 3 dynamic shadow cascades.

I do get shadows from further away objects that are larger.
