disabling shadow on light completely breaks light on metal mobile.

Hi, when I disable shadows on a directional light, the light is completely broken/disabled on Metal for iPhone.

I have tried a bunch of settings, but I really need to disable the shadows while still having the light work. It’s like the most simple lighting scenario, but I can’t get it to work.

The only workaround is setting the shadow amount to 0, but this doesn’t reduce the ‘PRIMS’ count. I need to lower the PRIMS, and disabling shadows would work, but currently, all I can do is hide the shadows while still keeping them enabled.

I also tested it on normal PC mode (not metal preview mode) and the prim count does lower when disabling shadows without the light being disabled altogether - so i dont think the lower prim count is due to the light being completely disabled.

I really hope that all makes sense.

Ok I think i figured it out.

‘cast shadow from cinematic object only’ seems to have the same effect as disabling shadows along with the preformance boost as well as having the light actually work still.

sounds buggy to me.
