DirectX effect on light building

Hey everyone,

I’m setting up an older second PC to run as a swarm agent processor for my lighting builds.
My main PC has a newer GPU, but for the second PC, I’m trying to find something cheap, and I found an old 9400 GT lying around.
I know light building is entirely done through the CPU, so I’m not concerned about its performance, but it is worth noting that it can only do DirectX 10.

Is there going to be an issue having a DirectX 10 PC working on a scene with my DirectX 12 PC?
Does UE4 even care about DirectX when it’s doing it’s lighting builds?

Swarm just utilizes your CPU, it should work on any computer from the last 10+ years running a modern OS. DirectX or GPU shouldn’t matter at all.
